This cake was commissioned for a young man who loved Skittles and had a paintball party. What you don't see is the additional 20 cupcakes I made with hand-cut fondant paint splats to match the main cake.
This fondant covered camo cake was my first attempt at sculpting objects. I have never designed a gun, but it took me back to my days with Playdough projects. Every cake is a new discovery of art which is why I love to decorate cakes.
The cake is a white velvet camo cake, filled with cookies and cream and a generous smear of Milky Way filling to make the cookies stick to the frosting. I also added a border of his favorite candy Skittles to his cake.
